If you want to install an application that isn't available in the Microsoft Store (such as Forrest), you'll need to Switch Out of S Mode. Switching off from S mode is one-way. If you toggle the switch off, you won't be able to get back into S Mode in Windows 10. Microsoft does not charge a fee to exit S Mode.
1. On your Windows 10 PC, open Settings > Update Security > Activation.
2. Go to Windows 10 Home or select Go to Store in Windows 10 Pro. (If you see an "Update your Windows version" section, be careful not to click the "Visit Store" link that appears).
3. Outside of S Mode (or similar) that appears in the Microsoft Store, select the "Get" button. After seeing the confirmation message on the page, you will be able to install apps outside the Microsoft Store.
