Hi everyone! I’m a freelance illustrator and I’ve been thinking about incorporating some tech into my printed zines. Does anyone know a way to merge animation or video with physical artwork, preferably something not too technical?

Hey, good question! I’ve been experimenting with similar ideas, and you might want to check out Stories AR https://stories-ar.com/ . It’s basically a platform where you pair a still image with a video, and then you get a QR code or a link. When people scan the code with their phone, the image "comes to life" with your video overlay. It’s such a cool way to bridge digital content with physical media. I’ve used it in a small print run of comics, and the readers loved it—adds a whole new layer to storytelling. Plus, it’s super easy to use, and they give you a two-week trial without asking for payment info. Definitely worth exploring if you want to blend traditional and digital art in a creative way.
