Serum Glutamic Pyruvic Transaminase, or SGPT test, is a blood test that can be done to find any liver issues. It is frequently used to gauge the activity of an enzyme called ALT. A patient's elevated ALT level can be a sign that his liver has been injured. However, a lower SGPT level typically indicates that the liver is healthy. Blood is drawn from an arm vein in order to perform the sgpt normal range. After then, a trained technician at a lab examines this sample. A test report is subsequently created, which will provide the results in units per litre of blood. The test results are beneficial in detecting liver disorders and in diagnosing hepatitis.
